Samaritan House Meal Teams

The Team Leader(TL) is generally responsible for coordinating the effort during Friday’s meal preparation. Designating teams members to perform tasks to prepare that nights’ recipe, ensuring team members are following food handler safety guideline( i.e handwashing, hair nets, aprons, disinfecting rinse) as well as looking ahead to what should happen next, making sure the kitchen is clean at the end of the shift are some examples. The name listed in BOLD on the calendar is that week’s TL.

Volunteers need to complete Basic Food Handler Certification and should plan to complete their certification by the end of their first month of work with the Meal Teams. The training takes about one hour and is online at https://www/statefoodsafety.com/
