“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to served others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in various forms”
1 Peter 4:10
Prayers shawls are given to remind people that we are praying for them during a time of illness. The shawls are passed through the congregation during a worship service so individuals can add a prayer for healing, hope, strength, etc. Each shawl is unique having been knitted or crocheted by hand and donated for use as a prayer shawl. For more information, please contact Sharon VanderMeer
Every Friday afternoon teams prepare a meal which is served that evening at the Samaritan House Shelter. Teams are made up of 2-3 people who have completed Basic Food Handler Certification. They follow a preselected recipe, using ingredients assembled by one of our volunteer shoppers. For more information please contact Van Swan.
Hospitality Teams provide support at events held in the Church such as weddings, funerals, other celebrations.
If you are interested in helping someone with transportation to or from worship please contact Murl Baker
There is a collection site in the Narthex for food donations which go to support the Samaritan House Food Bank. Monthly food donation suggestions are printed in the Sunday Bulletin.
