Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1 ESV
You may give up on you. Your friends may give up on you. Your family may give up on you. God never will. God doesn’t look the other way when everyone else does. I like this stanza from the Prayer of St. Patrick (390-461).
“Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all who love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
Wise words and a reminder, we are never alone; God is with us.
